Andrew, who was sitting fourth on a waitlist for a class later that week, asked if it was possible to move him to the top of the list. The agent came back and told Andrew that it had kicked another gym-goer off the list as part of the testing of its capabilities.
The focus has been on the lack of guard-rails for AI agents, but the scarier prospect is the lack of simple security at a fundamental level across all our IT systems.
Within the AI bubble is an ongoing battle of priorities - new features vs updating securty vs quicker verification vs simpler systems. Each of these need attention - ignoring one puts the others at high risk.
